When you are new to Accessible Surveys
Welcome to the comprehensive user guide for the Accessible Surveys App.
Whether you're building your first survey, managing advanced accessibility features (like Easy Read, Sign Language, or Read Aloud), distributing to respondents, or analyzing the data you've collected, this guide provides all the information you need.
To help you find exactly what you need when you need it, our documentation is divided into the following sections:
Are you new to Accessible Surveys and want to learn by doing?
Our tutorials take you by the hand and guide you through a complete learning experience.
Do you need practical directions to complete a specific task?
How-to guides are recipes that help you solve real-world problems. If you already know the basics and just need to know "How do I add a tooltip?" or "How do I export my data?", you'll find step-by-step instructions here. (Note: Our older step-by-step guides from the legacy guidance.notes section are being integrated here).
Do you need technical descriptions, facts, or details while you work?
The Reference section provides austere, descriptive information about the platform's features, settings, and machinery. It is organized around the natural lifecycle of a survey:
Do you want to understand the bigger picture or the "why" behind a feature?
The Explanation section provides discursive background, context, and design concepts. Use this when you want to deepen your understanding of topics like advanced form logic, the necessity of accessible formats, or data privacy.
If you are new to the platform, we strongly recommend starting with our Training Course. It is the fastest way to become confident building, testing, sharing, and analyzing surveys on Accessible Surveys.
If you are looking for specific instructions or reference material, simply choose the section above that matches what you are trying to do today!
The search functionality in our documentation is designed to help you quickly find the information you need. Whether you're looking for specific topics, troubleshooting tips, or detailed explanations, our search feature is your go-to tool for navigating our extensive resources.
To use the search feature, simply click on the search icon (usually represented by a magnifying glass) located in the top of the documentation page. This will open a search bar where you can type in your query. The shortcut to open the search bar is typically Ctrl + K (or Cmd + K on Mac).
If you can't find what you're looking for, or if you have specific questions about how to use the Accessible Surveys App, you can ask our AI assistant for help. The AI assistant is designed to provide quick and accurate answers based on the content of our documentation.
To ask the AI assistant a question, simply click on the "Ask IA" button located in the search bar. This will open a chat interface where you can type your question. The AI will then provide you with an answer based on the information available in our documentation.
